The Rideau Canal Waterway, connecting Kingston in the south to Ottawa in the north, is North America’s oldest operating 19th century canal. During the warmer months visitors can follow the waterway along an 8 km pathway then skate on the canal during the winter when the canal transforms into the world’s longest ice skating rink! Leashed pets are welcome at the parks, canal, and on the trail.
