The mission of the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation is to protect and preserve the culture, tradition, and living heritage of the North American Indians. This mission is demonstrated in the continuing progress on the world's largest sculptural undertaking: a memorial to the Lakota leader Crazy Horse to represent all North American Indians. Leashed pets are welcome at Crazy Horse Memorial in the outside common areas, including the viewing veranda and the roofed, concrete floor entry leading to it. Pets are allowed inside any of the buildings, but must be carried or otherwise contained. Pets must be cleaned up after and no pets are allowed in the food service areas or on the bus rides to the bottom of the mountain.
