This public garden and research facility for the University of Virgina encompasses 700 acres in the northern Shenandoah Valley. Also home to the State Arboretum of Virginia, there are more than 8,000 trees and woody shrubs on display. Pets are welcome on the grounds, but must be leashed at all times. Do not allow your dog to approach other people or pets. And please keep them out of the garden beds.
