This arboretum is home to the largest collection of boxwood cultivars in North America and more than half the world's pine species. There is also an herb garden, perennial gardens, azalea garden, daylily garden, pollination garden, and the Virginia Native Plant Trail. Dogs are welcome and must be leashed when within 200 yards of any building, and must be under immediate voice control at all times.
