Governor Nelson State Park has a pet beach (swim) area. Pets must be on leash unless they are in the water. Normally the beach has a pier to teach pets to jump into the water. Directions: The entrance to Governor Nelson State Park is on the southeast side of County Hwy M, about 2 miles west of State Hwy 13 and 4.7 miles east of U.S. Hwy 12.
