Gulf Islands National Park Reserve safeguards a portion of British Columbia’s beautiful southern Gulf Islands archipelago. These islands are representative of the Strait of Georgia Lowlands, one of the most ecologically at risk natural regions in southern Canada. This small park reserve includes thirty-five square kilometres of land and intertidal area on fifteen islands, numerous islets and reefs, and approximately twenty-six square kilometres of marine areas which provide valuable habitat for seals and nesting shorebirds. BC Ferries provides vehicle and passenger service to Mayne Island, Saturna Island and North and South Pender Islands through their Southern Gulf Islands routes from the Swartz Bay (Vancouver Island) and Tsawwassen (Vancouver) ferry terminals.

Park lands on these islands are dispersed. In some case they are easily accessible by foot or bicycle, in other cases they are quite a distance from the ferry terminal. Please refer to park map.
