This reserves sits at the base of Boise's foothills, just north of the city. It's nearly 300 acres are a protected area for local species of plants and animals. The area is open from sunrise to sunset every day.
The park has both on and off-leash trails. But the rules change throughout the year to protect vulnerable birds and other animals. So check the reserve's website before you visit to make sure you know where you can hike with your dog.

Do not allow your dog to chase birds or other wildlife, whether on or off leash. Some trails may allow your dog to be off-leash (and under voice control) at certain times of the year. Visit the website for more information before visiting. You must clean up after your dog.
