The park's manmade lake is the centerpiece of recreational activities. It has two main swimming areas. And dogs may enjoy swimming as long as they are away from the developed swim beach.

Pets are allowed to swim from shoreline in all areas except swimming beach, docks or fishing piers. Pets are allowed on the sandy beach from Labor Day through Memorial Day.
