Located in the scenic Cotoctin Mountains, this park has two primary areas.
The William Houck Area is located three miles west of Thurmont on Route 77. It has the lake area, falls and camping. The Manor Area off Route 15 is three miles south of Thurmont. It has the Scales and Tales Aviary, camping and the historic Catoctin Iron Furnace.
