The rangers at this visitor center can help you plan which of the 400 sites included in the Recreational Area you'd like to visit. Rich with a long natural and cultural history, this recreational area offers a multitude of scenic and educational opportunities along its 72 miles, covering 11 regional parks, more than 20 major sites of interest, and a dozen informative visitor centers.

Leashed pets are allowed throughout the byways, parks, and at many of the sites of interest, but are not allowed in any buildings. Pets may not be left unattended at any time. Leashes must be no longer than six feet
