Travel the route of the Old Natchez Trace and imagine the experiences of those that have traveled before you. The 444-mile Natchez Trace Parkway commemorates an ancient trail that connected southern portions of the Mississippi River to salt licks in todays central Tennessee. Leashed pets are permitted on most trails in the park, but are not allowed in the buildings. Leashes must be no longer than six feet.
