This state historic site has historical reenactments and displays. Sadly, dogs are not allowed in the area where these things are happening. But they have a boardwalk trail along the sound that is a nice place to walk with your pet. And a large grassy area to enjoy a picnic (or to wait with your pup while taking turns listing the sites). The park is open from March to December.

Policy Details
Pets are allowed in the parking area paths, along the boardwalk and Pavilion lawn with a leash. They do not allow pets in any of our ticketed and indoor venues. Animals are not allowed in visitor centers, museums or historic structures, unless the animal qualifies as a service animal under federal or State law. Pets are also not allowed during concerts or special events held at the Pavilion.
