Valley Forge National Historical Park is a 3,500-acre park with 30 miles of trails that was home to Washington’s winter encampment in 1777. The park commemorates more than the collective sacrifices and dedication of the Revolutionary War generation - it pays homage to the ability of everyday Americans to pull together and overcome adversity during extraordinary times. Leashed pets are permitted in the park, but are not allowed in the buildings. Leashes must be no longer than six feet.
