Producing this book has been a real learning process! The actual writing I was prepared for – posting on the blog for more than eight years gave me some insights into what that task would require – but everything else has been an adventure. From working with different types of editors, to preparing photos for print rather than online viewing, to collaborating with the book designer, to figuring out the best ways to let the world know the book exists … it’s been enlightening and exciting.
For example, I had no idea book trailers were even a thing. But these short videos provide viewers a peek at what a book is about and give a feel for the theme – similar to movie trailers. From sultry romances to gripping mysteries, it seems nearly every book has one these days. So we got to work, hoping our trailer makes you want to grab the leash and head out the door with your furry travel buddy. Maxwell James produced the video, and I think he nailed it. I hope you enjoy The Ultimate Pet Friendly Road Trip book trailer:
Making Progress
The first printed copy of the book should be delivered this week for review. If everything looks good, we’ll order the pre-purchased copies and Ty and Buster will get to work signing and shipping them. If you’re hoping to have the boys’ “pawtographs,” now would be the time to place your order! Once the book is released, all shipments will come directly from printer.
