Las Vegas boasts exhilarating energy unlike anywhere in the world. From bachelorette parties to wedding elopements to family vacations, Vegas is a prime destination for both weekend partygoers and international tourists.

Luckily, Las Vegas is also pet friendly. So you don’t need to leave your furry loved one behind! Just be sure to avoid the summer months of June through August – when the temperature can hit triple digits and it can be dangerous for your dog to go outside.

Pet Friendly Activities In Las Vegas

#1 Walk The Strip

Yes, you can walk your dog on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip! From 5 am until noon, dogs on a leash 3 feet or shorter can walk both sides of Las Vegas Boulevard for seven miles between Sahara Avenue and Sunset Road.

Outside of the designated hours, dogs are not allowed within 200 yards of Las Vegas Boulevard.

Also, be prepared for the sidewalks to be busy. Even very early in the morning there are crowds and second-hand smoke.

If The Strip feels overwhelming for your dog, check out some of the other pet friendly activities in Las Vegas.

#2 Eat & Drink

Famous for celebrity chef restaurants, Las Vegas is foodie heaven! From upscale restaurants to hole-in-the-wall joints, there are plenty of eateries offering dog friendly outdoor seating.

However, please understand that dining with your dog on The Strip can be a hit or miss. Depending on restaurant policy and staff limitations; even restaurants with outdoor seating might only allow ADA-defined service animals.

Two awesome pet friendly restaurants in Las Vegas are:

Crown and Anchor Pub (1350 E Tropicana Avenue) – A fun British pub boasting a large tree-shaded, grassy patio welcoming furry diners.

Lazy Dog Restaurant (6509 Las Vegas Boulevard South) – A hip American eatery with a large dog friendly outdoor patio with heat lamps. Dogs even get their own menus!

#3 Shop

Vegas is known for some amazing shopping! High-end designer shops and premium outlets are ubiquitous throughout the city. And you don’t need to leave your dog behind when you shop ’til you drop!

A few shopping venues to check out with your pup are:

Fashion Show Las Vegas (3200 Las Vegas Boulevard) – This is the only OFFICIAL dog friendly mall on the Strip! On this 2-million square foot retail property, dogs are welcome to shop inside with their humans, as long as they are leashed or inside a pet carrier. They must have the required tags and be up-to-date with vaccinations.

Las Vegas Premium Outlets (North: 875 S Grand Central Parkway and South: 7400 Las Vegas Boulevard South) – In both North and South outlets, dogs are welcome in outdoor common areas. Most stores also have a pet friendly policy.

Town Square (6605 S Las Vegas Boulevard) – This open-air shopping center with many pet friendly stores welcomes dogs in common areas with dog water bowls and fountains.
