Summer is Saskatchewan’s busiest tourist season, with most visitors flocking to the lakes and streams as temperatures climb to the triple digits. The shoulder seasons of April, May, September, October, and November are much better times for a pet friendly visit. Average highs in May hover in the 60s, and loads of sunshine frequently warm up fall days. Saskatchewan’s long, cold winters typically begin sometime in November and last well into March. This is the least popular time to visit, and the best opportunity to find deals on lodging.
