Best Time To Visit
Hawaii is blessed with a beautiful climate, so visiting with your pet any time of the year is possible. The Christmas and New Year period is the busiest time of the year, so if you're hoping to enjoy an "uncrowded" Hawaii, plan your trip during spring (April and May), or fall (September and October) when crowds and hotel prices both fall. When making your arrangements, keep in mind that May through October is Hawaii's dry season, and November through April is the rainy season.

Standup paddleboard with your pup in the calm water at Hanalei Bay on Kauai or Kailua Bay in Kona (Big Island). Keep an eye out for a pod of dolphins or a Humpback whale mother and calf in the winter.
Hike the pet friendly trails where Ali'i (Hawaiian royalty) once walked at Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site or the 1871 Trail at Pu'u O Honauna National Historic Park, both located on the Big Island.
Splash in the surf at many of Maui County's beach parks, including Sugar Beach, between Maalaea and Kihei. Other favorite dog friendly beaches include Hanalei Bay on Kauai, Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach on Oahu, and Dog Beach at Honokohau Harbor on the Big Island.
