Two popular Central Coast campgrounds offer camping, picnicking, hiking, fishing, surfing, beach walking, bird watching, and whale watching. The San Simeon Creek Campground is located just a short walk from the beach. The more secluded Washburn Campground is located high on the hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
