The park has 1.5 miles of beach for swimming, surfing, fishing, whale watching and sunbathing. The beach also has tide pools, coastal caves and reefs for exploring. Giant sycamores shade the main campgrounds.

Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and under adult supervision at all times. They are not permitted on trails, dirt fire roads, in buildings, or on South Beach (except for service dogs). Dogs are allowed on North Beach with a leash. Please clean up after your pets. Dogs must be confined to a vehicle or tent at night.
