The remote nature of Acadia East Campground makes it a wilderness wonderland for adventure pups. You'll find spacious campsites for your dogs to explore on-or-off leash, as well as dog waste bags and disposal bin on site.

We do ask that you be cautious and aware of other campers and keep pups at your site and on leash while on trails and in the parking area. Also, please note that there is plenty of wildlife in the area (we've seen bears, turkeys, deer, snakes, rabbits, squirrels, and more!). For the safety of you and your dog, do not allow your dog to wander off or engage with wildlife.

The Jones Pond Recreational Area (beach and boat landing) has a dog-friendly swim area less than a mile away!
