This rustically chic, five-bedroom Kings Beach vacation rental brings the outside in with tall, wood-beamed ceilings, slate tile floors, beautiful botanical-inspired prints, and a gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe.
From top to bottom, this spacious, lodge-like home is filled with style - antiques, comfortable furniture, and gorgeous Persian-style rugs create a High Sierra oasis. From the tree-lined view out the dining room window to the leather chairs arranged just so by the natural gas fireplace, when you stay here, you're in for a special, one-of-a-kind retreat. At the end of the day, start a fire, snuggle back on the sofa, and watch cable or a DVD on the large flat screen TV. Or just quietly enjoy the ambiance with mugs of hot cocoa and a good book, either indoors or on the updated deck with a lake view framed by trees! The back yard, meanwhile, offers privacy and seclusion ideal for dining and conversation. If you need more privacy, just head to the peaceful lower courtyard!
Dinner can be a special affair at the large wooden table. Dim the lights, light the candles, and set the table for a crowd - and if you have overflow, the breakfast bar is right nearby. And when it is time to prepare a feast, the well-stocked kitchen is fit for a chef! Granite countertops, a restaurant-quality Thermador gas range plus flat gas top grill stove, two ovens, two dishwashers, wet bar with sink, wine refrigerator and unique rock architectural elements make this space stand out. Whether you make simple fruit smoothies in the blender for a healthy pre-hike breakfast, or cook a multi-course dinner at night, this kitchen is a dream.
The bedrooms here are just as special as the other areas of this Lake Tahoe vacation rental. You'll have five bedrooms with a king and two queen beds in three of the rooms, while the last two bedrooms have two sets of twin beds each. Gorgeous bright prints, antiques, and cloud-like beds... everyone in your group of up to 10 guests will get a good night's sleep here.
Please be aware that the two downstairs bedrooms have two twin beds each and are only accessible from the main part of the house by going outside and down an outdoor staircase. Each of these two lower bedrooms also has it's own private bath - making them great for teens, older kids, or adults that want their own space while part of a bigger group (also great for reunions, corporate retreats, couples traveling together).
And don't board the dog! One well-behaved canine is welcome, though a nightly fee applies.
The luxury doesn't end with the bedrooms. Five bathrooms assure everyone has their own space. One spa-like bathroom even has a jetted soaking tub and a separate tiled walk-in shower. Other amenities include WiFi, a stereo, CD player, VCR, DVD and VHS library, and a iPod dock.
Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in the Tahoe National Forest and surrounded by pine trees, you'll only be a five minute walk to scenic Speedboat Beach. Pack a lunch and head down to the sand for a picnic, an afternoon of sandcastle building, boating, or a quiet, relaxing day on the shore. And if you're feeling lucky, Crystal Bay Casino is just a half of a mile away across the Nevada state line. You'll also want to devote a day to browsing the shops and galleries downtown, and although the urge may be strong to spend as much time as possible in that gorgeous kitchen, you owe to to yourself to try one of the area's highly-rated restaurants.
Truly a year-round destination, Kings Beach is also within 30 minutes of a number of California's best ski resorts - Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Plus, there are opportunities for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing close by in the national forest lands.
From foodies, to ski bums, to adventure seekers, a getaway to Kings Beach has something for everyone. And this lake view Seven Pines on Speedboat vacation home is truly a magical home base for your next Lake Tahoe adventure.
