Because of this unique arrangement, this home can sleep a maximum of 11 guests, though the beds in the entertainment room would be more comfortable for younger guests. This might be a good opportunity to bring two families and have the adults sleep upstairs while the youngsters have a sleepover-style layout downstairs. This home is even dog-friendly, so feel free to bring up to two of your furry friends with you, though please note that a nightly fee applies.

The middle level of this home has a cozy living room and a full kitchen, as well as a bathroom. When the tide's out, bring a bucket and a shovel (and clothes that you don't mind getting muddy) and go clamming right there in the bay. If you prefer, you could simply drive up to the Bayside Market and get some fresh crab there, as well as stock up on groceries.

Around town you will have all the basics: grocery stores, restaurants, and gorgeous views of the bay and ocean. Have a meal of fresh seafood at The Schooner, or try the tacos at Upstairs Bar & Grill. For even more options, you can take a quick 10-minute drive into Tillamook, which has a huge variety of eateries, as well as shopping options and plenty of activities such as the world-famous Tillamook Cheese Factory. Stop in there for a self-guided tour, free cheese samples, and an ice cream counter that serves every single flavor of Tillamook ice cream.

If you feel like driving north along the coastline, you will pass through small Oceanside on your way up to the lovely Cape Meares State Park, which has hiking trails, picnic areas, and a historic lighthouse. The Tillamook Bay is also easily within your reach, as are hiking and biking trails, and scenic viewpoints all along the coast.
