Located just on the south side of town, the Pacific City Carousel House is close to restaurants and businesses in Pacific City, and still just a couple minutes away from the beach by car. The wrap around windows located upstairs offer an amazing view of the bay, river and the Pacific Ocean, as well as an overview of the city.

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom vacation home is arranged in an extremely unique way: it is round so you can take advantage of the spectacular views and coastal scenery! The interior is handicap-friendly, with a stair lift, electric lift/recline armchair, and living spaces on the ground floor, so even guests who may have mobility issues will be very comfortable here.

The lower level of this home has a living space with comfortable seating including a sectional sofa that doubles as a queen-sized sofa bed, a cozy wood stove, and a flatscreen TV. Throughout the house you will have cable television, DVD/Blu-ray players with a selection of DVDs, and WiFi access. This lower level also has a kitchenette with a full-size fridge and a microwave, as well as a washer and dryer that will come in handy in case anyone's clothes get a little dirty while playing on the beach.

Two of the three bedrooms and one full bathroom (with a tub/shower combo) are also on this ground level. Both bedrooms feature warm and soft queen-size beds where you and your guests will sleep soundly. Upstairs, a third enormous bedroom offers a sitting area, closets, an ADA-spec bathroom with a shower, and a king-size bed. Altogether, this home has bed space for up to six guests, though we welcome up to 10 people to stay here as long as you bring your own sleeping bags or are comfortable sleeping on sofas.

This upper level of the home is where you will love to sit, relax, and gaze out the many windows at the ocean view. In the living room you will find more seating and another flatscreen TV, in addition to another queen sized sofa-bed. Though you may just prefer to admire the amazing scenery instead! With panoramic vistas of the ocean and the bay, you and your guests will love this space.

A full kitchen is also on this upper level, so you will have no trouble at all whipping up any type of meal. With all major appliances (including a dishwasher for easy clean-up) and plenty of equipment and serviceware, all you need to do is bring along your own groceries and get cooking! A fold-out dining room table can seat up to eight guests, and a breakfast bar has stools for two more, so this is a great opportunity to sit down together as a family and enjoy a nice breakfast before heading out for the day.

Outside, a fenced back yard is the perfect place for children or dogs to play. This home welcomes up to four dogs, though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply. If you walk out onto the deck from the upper floor, you will find a lovely area where you can watch the ocean, breathe in the fresh sea air, and use the gas grill to cook up a casual lunch of burgers for everyone.

This home also has an outdoor sink and fish-cleaning station, so if you happen to go fishing, crabbing, or clamming in the area, feel free to clean your catch outside before taking it inside to cook! There is ample parking, so don't be afraid to bring your cars, a boat, or whatever other transportation you need to have a great vacation.

Nearby in Pacific City you will find plenty of amazing restaurants, such as the well-loved Pelican Pub and Brewery, where you can get anything from pizza to seafood. Take a walk around town and visit some small shops, grab a coffee, and maybe even book a horseback ride on the beach!

Around the area you will want to visit the beachfront state parks, walk along the coastline, and admire the views. More adventurous guests may enjoy taking a hike around the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge, going on a fishing charter trip, or even visiting the Oregon Hang Gliding School for some instruction and training before you take some guided runs down the dunes.

Pacific City is in a convenient spot along the coast, so you could even drive south about 30 minutes to reach Lincoln City and its popular beaches, souvenir shops, and casino. If you feel like heading north instead, a 35-minute drive will take you to wonderful Tillamook, where you will find bayfishing opportunities, an air museum, and a world-famous cheese factory.
