Located in a quiet neighborhood to the north of town, you're in walking distance from Garrison Lake, and a short drive from town and the beach.

The house has a warm atmosphere with plenty of natural light. Walk up the pathway through a garden, and take a seat in the unique chairs made from an old carriage. Through the front door you'll enter a large foyer with some reading chairs and an antique rocker. Continue on to reach the dining area, which features a long, wooden table that will seat the whole group for a family-style dinner with a nice view outside.

To the left is the gourmet kitchen, stocked with everything you need to make the perfect meal. You'll enjoy granite countertops with a ton of room to spread out, bar seating for five, and stainless-steel appliances, including a dishwasher.

Coming from the foyer, on the other side is the living room, set with comfortable leather furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, grand piano, and distant, ocean views. You're lucky if you have a musician in your group to entertain you, otherwise you gather a group to play a friendly board game, or you might turn on the flatscreen cable TV to watch a DVD or stream a show over WiFi.

Five bedrooms, and three full baths make this house comfortable for 12 people. On the main floor you'll find three bedrooms - the first bedroom has a full-size bed with a full private bath, the second bedroom has a full-size bed and water views, and the third room has two twin beds. There's a shared full bath near these rooms.

On the lower floor of the house is an all-purpose room with four twin bunks, and exercise equipment to get your cardio fix. There's a stereo and DVD player, so you're all set there, and you also have access to the ocean-side lawn.

On the top floor, you'll find a loft with a seating area and a stocked bookshelf, where you're sure to find some gems. Continue on to the master bedroom, with a king-size bed, cozy bearskin rug in front of a fireplace, a chaise lounge, and a wet bar with a lovely view outside. The attached bathroom is spacious, with a dual-headed walk-in shower, soaking tub, and two decorative sinks.

This house is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring every member of the family (just note a small nightly pet fee).

Balconies with patio furniture and a gas grill are accessible on the main and upper floors, just be careful not to get locked out by the auto-locking doors.

There's also a private washer/dryer for laundry, so don't be afraid to pack light.

This house is perfect for a family reunion or a large group looking to entertain - the outdoor setting is very peaceful, and you'll have plenty of privacy. Nearby you'll find Garrison Lake, which features great beaches in a pristine, natural setting.
For the adventurous type, Floras Lake, 14 miles north, has world-famous kite-boarding and windsurfing, with some good hikes in the protected natural area.

Head south to enjoy the sandy beach in Port Orford, and check out the various coves and the viewpoint at Port Orford Heads State Park. You'll find a grocery store in town to buy ingredients for your home-cooked meals, or you might try to catch your own fresh food by fishing on the Sixes and Elk Rivers.
