Located on the south side of town, this home is within a five-minute walk of the Cartwright Park, Seaside Golf Course, and beach access. This vacation rental, which actually includes two self-contained houses in a duplex arrangement, has a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms. There is ample space here for 12 guests, and you may even bring three dogs with you, though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply.
Both sections of this home have their own private entrances, kitchens, living areas, and backyard, so this is an ideal arrangement for two families traveling together or two groups who would like a little extra privacy. And, since you will be right next door to each other, it will be easy to enjoy a meal together, or for the adults to relax outside in the hot tub while the youngsters watch cartoons in one of the living rooms.
While you're here you will have two separate, full kitchens at your disposal, which means you will have no trouble at all cooking anything from a simple breakfast of eggs and bacon to a full Thanksgiving dinner! Between the two sections of this home there are plenty of spaces to sit and eat a meal together. Afterward, settle in one of the living rooms, which both feature their own gas fireplace, flatscreen TVs equipped with cable, movie players, and a selection of films. You will also have board games available as well as WiFi access, so you will have no trouble checking your work emails or looking up tomorrow's tide tables.
One side of this home features two bedrooms - a master room with a queen bed (and a fabulous soaking tub in the en-suite bathroom), and second room with two twins in bunks - plus a futon and two comfortable sofabeds that provide ample space for six guests. The other half of the home has three bedrooms, including a master with a king-size bed, a second room with a queen bed, and a third room with a twin-size bed lofted over a futon. Both halves of this home have two bathrooms and their own laundry areas, as well! In total, there are plenty of warm and cozy spaces for 12 guests to sleep.
Outside, you will find patio areas where you can enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the neighborhood and breathe in the fresh sea air. Even better, you're free to use the firepit to roast marshmallows then hop into the hot tub for a relaxing soak to cap off a wonderful day of vacationing.
If the weather's nice during your visit, you may want to keep your cars parked in the driveway and stroll around town! Start with a two-block walk south to Cartwright Park, where you will find a lovely playground and a boat launch so you can kayak around the Necanicum River. If you have any golfers in your group, drop them off at the Seaside Golf Course for their morning tee time while the rest of you head just north to do some souvenir shopping! In the downtown area of Seaside you will find ample restaurants that range from pizza to sushi to fresh seafood, plus plenty of shops that sell everything from candy to pirate-style treasure chests.
If you have any animal-lovers with you, check out the Seaside Aquarium. Otherwise, head right onto the popular beach, where you can walk on the soft sand, dip your feet in the refreshingly chilly waves, and breathe deeply to savor the fresh coastal air. If you're itching to venture out of Seaside, you can take a daytrip north or south along the coast for fun-filled options.
Historic Astoria is a quick 30-minute drive north, and there you will find a fascinating museum along with the famous Astoria Column. If you go south instead, loop through Cannon Beach (about 15 minutes south) and check out Ecola State Park, which has fantastic hiking trails, a scenic lighthouse, and unbeatable views of the ocean.
