Plan a visit to Central Oregon for the Sisters Rodeo or Folk Festival and stay at this adorable three-bedroom Sisters vacation rental! During your stay you'll have amenities like WiFi, cable, and a DVD player, as well as a comfortable and spacious master bedroom and a cozy reading nook in the upstairs loft! Dogs are also welcome, though please note our nightly pet fee.
A newer craftsman construction, from this Sisters getaway you can walk right to downtown. From the front porch you can view Black Crater - a large peak in the Central Cascades. And while the shops and restaurants of downtown Sisters are just a few blocks away, in winter the Hoodoo Ski Area is only 22 miles from this Sisters vacation rental and the town of Bend is a 30 minute drive away.
Relax on the spacious front porch with a glass of iced tea or wine in the afternoons - chances are the Central Oregon weather will be nice and sunny! But when you do spend time indoors, the downstairs living room is a peaceful, comfortable spot to read a book, or borrow a board game from the shelf and spread it out to play.
There's a full kitchen with granite countertops and shiny stainless steel appliances. A butcher block island provides even more space for chopping vegetables or grating cheese. And when it's time to clean up, don't worry - you'll have a dishwasher to get everything taken care of quickly.
When you do sit down to meals, there are seats for six guests, and you could always sit the kids up in the family room with dinner, while the adults enjoy a sit-down meal downstairs. Although this home does not have air conditioning, there are box fans and if you keep the blinds closed during the day and the windows open at night, you'll stay cool and comfortable in this wonderful Sisters retreat!
Able to sleep up to eight guests, this Sisters vacation home has a lovely master bedroom on the main level (right off the living room) with a king-sized bed and a full bathroom with double sinks and spacious walk-in closet. Upstairs you'll find two additional rooms - one with a queen bed and the other with two twins beds. There is a full bathroom that these two comfortable bedrooms share (as well as an additional half bath downstairs for extra convenience). All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans, and accessories like bedside tables and reading lamps.
Also upstairs, is a cozy little loft area - perfect for reading (feel free to borrow a book if you've left yours at home!), playing a board game, or even doing a little work if you need to - there's a printer available for guest use. A second floor family room has a TV, DVD player, and spots for everyone to relax - including a sleeper sofa for even more bed options at night. There are wonderful skylights up here, adding an abundance of natural light to the room. After a light dinner, just pop some popcorn and head up here for a family movie night!
The charming Central Oregon town of Sisters has a lot going for it - a gorgeous and scenic high desert geography, trails for mountain biking and hiking, and numerous fly fishing sites along the Metolius River, Whychus Creek, and Three Creek lake. Lace up your trail shoes and head out on the Sisters Tie Trail or make your way along Black Butte Lookout - a moderate 3.8 mile hike that boasts amazing views from its summit. And don't worry about keeping clean while you're out having an adventure - you have a washer and dryer waiting for you back at your Locust Lane Retreat.
For a community of its size (just over 2,000 residents), small-town Sisters is a popular event destination due to the annual Sisters Rodeo (June), Quilt Show (July), and Folk Festival (September), as well as a thriving arts and music scene year-round. There are galleries and shops with western-themed art, clothing, and gifts. Also while in town, be sure to stop by the Sisters Bakery for homemade doughnuts, pizza, and chocolate eclairs or the Sisters Coffee Company on Hood Avenue for lattes and snacks in a warm, log cabin/lodge-like interior.
This Central Oregon vacation rental offers an ideal home-base for exploring Sisters, attending the rodeo, or heading to Hoodoo Ski Area for a family ski trip. Whether you stay near the house and relax or go on day trips to nearby Bend and Smith Rock State Park, this Sisters retreat has it all!
