Legally, Vancouver does not allow dogs on patios where food is being served. But some restaurants get around that restriction by allowing dogs on the sidewalk next to the patio. Ask the host for guidance before taking a seat with your pet to stay within the rules.
Or get your meal "to go" and enjoy it in the park with your pets.
